Women's Suffrage : WSPU [Women's Social & Political Union] : High Quality Modern Reproduction Enamel badge, in hard enamels. Complete with FREE carrying pouch in purple velvet.
Size: 30mm height at tallest point. Approx 25mm at widest point.
Materials: Enamelled colours, in the traditional colours of the WSPU [Purple, white and green] in a hard enamel finish. Silver plated surround and silver plated safety-pin with locking ring to rear for easy, safe and hardy affixing to garments etc. We present the badge in a [FREE] purple velvet carrying pouch, [please see photo] which finely complements it and of course has many associations still, with the woman's rights movements. The pouch measures 3.5 inches high by 3.00 inches high.
Condition: Mint condition. New Manufacture and unused.
Description: Featuring the wording " Votes for women" on a green background, above an inverted white chevron, with the initials of the W.S.P.U against a purple background, this is an EXACT facsimile of an original held in the London Museum.
This is a very, very RARE badge to see...I have not seen ONE example arise for sale in recent history and know of only one in existence held at the London Museum.
